Arborg Heritage Village

The Arborg & District Multicultural Heritage Village is a working museum and interpretive centre showcasing the multicultural history of rural life and farm communities of the Interlake region prior to 1930. Nestled on 12.9 acres between the south bank of the peaceful Icelandic River and the North side of Highway 68 in Arborg, Manitoba, the village presently features:

  • Seven historic buildings are completed, including a restored Parish Hall available year-round for private parties, family gatherings, bridal showers and community events; a Grist Mill, a 1921 CPR Caboose.
  • Restoration is currently being completed on two Ukrainian homes and displays are being set up in the Interpretive Centre.
  • Campground Area, open from May to September, offering 22 electrically serviced camp sites, with picnic tables, fire pits, washrooms and showers.

The Heritage Village continues to grow and we are excited about the arrival of our Heritage Barn and the restoration on that has begun.
